As I stated earlier in my previous post, this camera (Rebel T3) doesn't have manual exposure settings in Movie Mode. Many people wondered, "what's the point of using the f/1.8 for video with this camera if you can't set the aperture manually in Movie Mode? You can't get those great bokeh!".
Well, it is not possible to manually set these settings indeed, but they are LOCKABLE. Which means you just need to wave around the camera to different scenes and let it find the settings you want. Once you find the settings, press the [*] (star) button on your camera to lock them. Be aware that autofocusing may unlock these settings.
Got the settings locked? Now it's time to let it roll!
Here's the video results of this camera, mounted with the Canon 50mm f/1.8 lens, aka the 'nifty fifty'. Notice those familiar bokeh blurs? Hell yeah. Who says we can't get them with this camera?

Camera Tests: Canon Rebel T3/EOS 1100D Video Results and Review
Rebel T3 is a decent entry level DSLR for photography and videos. It's not as great as 550D/T2i, but for beginners, this camera will do.
As a videographer I can't write much about its photography features and I can only do reviews for its 'video side'. Here are the test results:
1. Day to Night test (with more of day shots than the night shots)
2. Night test (low light)
And here's some review for me of the video features of this camera.
Pro:
+ Affordable entry level DSLR for photography or videography.
+ Produces 720p (HD) videos at 25 and 30 fps.
Cons:
- Lack of manual focus in Movie Mode. Exposure is lockable, but manual control is not possible.
- No microphone input. Only supports mono audio recording with built in mic.
