As I stated earlier in my previous post, this camera (Rebel T3) doesn't have manual exposure settings in Movie Mode. Many people wondered, "what's the point of using the f/1.8 for video with this camera if you can't set the aperture manually in Movie Mode? You can't get those great bokeh!".
Well, it is not possible to manually set these settings indeed, but they are LOCKABLE. Which means you just need to wave around the camera to different scenes and let it find the settings you want. Once you find the settings, press the [*] (star) button on your camera to lock them. Be aware that autofocusing may unlock these settings.
Got the settings locked? Now it's time to let it roll!
Here's the video results of this camera, mounted with the Canon 50mm f/1.8 lens, aka the 'nifty fifty'. Notice those familiar bokeh blurs? Hell yeah. Who says we can't get them with this camera?
